Why it was needed.
Many glider pilots are very fond of Multiplex Royal EVO/PRO transmitters. But somtimes this problem occure:

Unfortunatly it’s not an isolated case so every user can obtain it if some water gets inside the LCD module. It is the main problem of this type of LCD units(Chip on flexible technology also called COF):

So this mod is a simple way to replace original LCD if you wantn’t to send the hole TX into MPX service.
Also this mod can be used if you want to have bright backlight.
How it work.
Almost everybody know that there is no simple replacements of original EVO/PRO LCD because of Multiplex use custom one with 132*64 resolution.
That’s why we found similar size 133*64 LCD and add MCU and backlight to it.

The MCU on the LCD board emulate original COF controller interface and convert data into the format needed for our LCD in realtime. This LCD have a very good contrast wich it preseted in MCU software. You can turn on or off the backlight using the “contrast adjust” Royal menu.
